FURNESS MELBOURNE

TMC attended for the period of salvage on behalf of Britannia P&I to the salvage of FURNESS MELBOURNE which was re-floated by a joint venture of Smit and Nippon Salvage in early 2010. FURNESS MELBOURNE was a 2008 built Panamax bulk carrier that ran aground whilst leaving the port of Jorf Lasfar, Morocco in Bf 7 on 05.01.10 whilst partially laden with a cargo of bulk fertilizer.

This salvage was performed under LOF 2000.
