A performance driven Master Mariner with 41+ years of “across the board” experience in offering execution, technical, operational and business development expertise to some of the world’s leading shipping companies and organisations.

Scott spent 24 years sailing at sea through all ranks up to his final 5 years as Master. His sea going experience was predominantly on high end specialist Chemical Tankers, but experience also includes LPG, Petroleum, Crude Oil, Bulk and a Semi-submersible Drilling Rig.

He came ashore in 2002 as a Technical Superintendent for a leading Global Chemical Tanker owner, with further development as:

Global Marine Director, Dubai U.A.E
General Manager – Marine & Operations, Dubai
General Manager Asia Pacific for the world’s leading Chemical Tanker

General Manager, Singapore for the for a major 3rd party ship manager

His competencies/experiences include (but not limited to) senior fleet management both technically and operationally, dry-docking & extensive repair supervision & management, incident/accident investigation, cargo claims (chemical & petroleum), tank coating failure investigation & repair, stainless steel cargo tank damage, chemical tanker consultancy, STS operations & pilotage, navigational audits, ISM & TMSA audits, SIRE/CDI inspections, expert witness in marine arbitration cases.

Scott joined TMC in November 2017 in the capacity of Consultant Master Mariner and was appointed to his current role as Managing Director of TMC Singapore on 1st March 2020.
