Marcus has fourteen years’ experience as a working Naval Architect, Project Manager and Superintendent. He has extensive experience on the ship building industry, primarily in offshore and specialist tonnage. Marcus joins TMC with an extensive and diverse knowledge of design, build, operation, conversion and recycling.

During his time with TMC, Marcus has worked on a variety of projects including salvage and wreck removal, Newbuilding disputes, latent defects, mediation, crane investigations as well as off hire surveys and piracy claims.

Prior to joining TMC, Marcus worked as a newbuild Project Manager in Europe, China and India. This has included the preparation and review of shipbuilding contracts as well as the management and oversight to ensure the quality requirements of the Owners and Operators are met and ensuring the intent of the specification is upheld and the resolution of disputes.

Marcus has also worked as a Naval Architect at a large UK based operator of offshore vessels and a well known UK based ship owner of a fleet of small product tankers and specialist vessels, extensively involved in the worldwide day to day technical operation; where he was responsible for the initial and continued compliance with statutory and classification of vessels including the application of emergent requirements of individual flag states such as the latest Special Purpose Ship Rules and its application to existing and new vessels, change management, upgrades, repair, leader of multi-disciplinary teams handling complex technical shipbuilding and marine engineering challenges.
