Lionel Fernandes, a Marine Engineer Holding a Chief Engineer unlimited III/2 Certificate of competency (MCA), who has over twenty years’ experience in the Marine industry. During his career at sea his sailing experience comprised of working on large container vessels and Passenger cruise vessels. Lionel has experience on Slow speed engines, medium speed, Diesel Electric propulsion, and high Voltage vessel power systems.

Following his sea experience, he has progressed to shore technical ship management covering positions as Technical Superintendent and Fleet Manager. Responsibilities included vessel Audit, Inspections, Dry docking, Major retrofits, Budgeting, and all responsibilities associated with ship management. He has also set up a ship management office for a reputable ship owner in the UK, responsibilities include interview and hire all positions to fulfil technical management responsibilities.

Prior to joining TMC, Lionel has been working as a Project’s manager and Senior Marine operations Manager involving major retrofits at various shipyards in China.
