Gary Rawlings - Marine Engineer

Gary Rawlings, a Marine Engineer with a First Class Certificate of Competency, joined TMC in March 2014. He has 21 years of seagoing experience sailing in all ranks up to and including Chief Engineer.

Gary has sailed on a variety of vessels, including large container ships, bulk carriers, general cargo ships and dedicated refrigerated cargo ships.

Having gained 6 years experience as a Technical Superintendent ashore, managing all aspects of vessel operations, he then went on to join a leading London based P&I insurer as an Associate Director of Risk Management. This role led to further experience in the technical aspects of claims handling procedures, vessel inspection criteria and procedures as well as Root Cause Analysis work.

Gary also has extensive Dry Docking experience as both a Chief Engineer and Superintendent in charge as well as New Building supervision and machinery commissioning experience.
