Christina joined TMC Marine in 2014 from Lloyd’s Register, seeking to broaden her experience in Naval Architecture. Since then she has been involved in projects regarding ship strength and stability, and both FEA and CAD modelling.
Christina is proficient in TMC’s SEAMASTER software and creates ship models that are used in live salvage cases and ongoing projects. Her experience includes containerships, bulkcarriers , passenger ships and tankers. Previous cases include intact and damage strength and stability after grounding, collision or loss of stability.
Very well versed in a wide range of class rules for hull structures for longitudinal strength, fatigue and buckling as well as statutory rules for stability. Her experience includes hand calculations for strength and stability, as well as finite element modelling with ANSYS.
Christina creates ship and isolated structures’ models in 3D using Rhino software for collision analysis or other depiction purposes. She also creates navigational plots on charts for relevant cases.
