Charles joined TMC in July 2017 as a Consultant Naval Architect based in Singapore after spending more than 15 years in a reputable marine consultancy and ship classification society (IACS member).

He has extensive experience in hull & machinery damage surveys, vessel damage assessments and marine accident investigations. Having done a wide spectrum of surveys and assessments, he has intimate knowledge on a wide range of marine vehicles, fixed and floating offshore units. He regularly prepares reports and assists ship owners, underwriters, loss adjustors and lawyers in legal liability & dispute cases. He has working experiences across multiple countries within the Asia Pacific region.

In addition, he has acted as marine warranty surveyor and specialist engineer in heavy lifting & installation, load in / load out and marine transportation and maintains a keen interest in this field. He is also conversant in the structural strength and fatigue assessment of ship and marine structures.

He has served as an exclusive class surveyor and is familiar with the Statutory and Classification Rules & Regulations of Ships.

Charles is registered under the Engineering Council UK as a Chartered Engineer and he is also a member of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects.
