Stuart started his career at sea in 1993, culminating in command of large offshore vessels prior to his coming ashore in 2009. He is an internationally experienced Master Mariner with extensive command experience and in-depth knowledge of marine operations including ISM and PMS compliance, BRM and Dynamic Positioning operations.

As a marine consultant since 2009 he has worked with numerous clients, large and small, on legal cases, inspections, audits, investigations and surveys. This has included salvage work, debris field survey, vessel damage, shore equipment damage, complex project cargoes and complicated investigations on board assets with multiple stakeholders.

Stuart is passionate about safe marine operations. His experience and expertise in marine assurance & operations, offshore projects, dynamic positioning, heavy lift and general shipping means he is well suited for all aspects of TMC Marine services offered.
