Walden joined TMC (Marine Consultants) Ltd in January 2026, he is an experienced marine professional with 18 years of sea-going experience on a variety of ship types including bulk carriers, product, chemical and crude oil tankers, including about 3 years in command on bulk carriers. He has experience carrying a wide variety of cargoes including iron ore, grain, steel, wood, coal, oil and cement.

Walden has recent experience in watchkeeping and navigation standards, including the operation of ECDIS and the recovery and analysis of VDRs.

Since coming ashore in 2020, Walden has worked in India and the UK, initially as a Crewing Manager responsible for the tanker fleet and subsequently as an Assistant Shift Manager at a large container port.

Walden was a Marine Pilot for two years in the UK piloting vessels in on the River Humber, Trent, Goole and Milford Haven.

Most recently he was a Maritime Operations Officer at a Marine Risk Management organization.
